Gymnastics

Kennedy is my little monkey! She will climb on everything and rarely has her feet on the ground. Which actually fits her personality very well! Just this morning as I was struggling to wake up, she was just has happy and energetic as ever. I was actually a bit annoyed until this: Carter and I were talking about how it takes us longer to wake up. I looked over at her and said how do you have so much energy in the morning and she simply said "I'm just happy". Yes you are Kennedy, yes you are! Anyway, back to the gymnastics. She loves it and is improving so much! Her cartwheels, handstands and splits are so good for a 4 year old! I love watching her have so much fun!

Babylegs

Oh I how I love the babylegs : ) So I was introduced to these things from a friend of a friend and I just love them. They are little baby leg warmers and they are the cutes things! Madison doesn't have the leg roles yet to "spill" over the top, but i love how cute they are!! I think I'm having way to much fun with her....she is my last after all and I'm indulging!

Madison

As I write you are already 7 weeks old. The time has flown and I have enjoyed every moment with you. You are a great baby and thankfully go with the flow. I feel bad sometimes because we have schedules to keep with Carter and Kennedy being in school, that there are so many times you are in and out of your car seat being carted around. I am so grateful you are so cooperative.

As you can tell from baby pictures you look so much different from your brothers and sister due to your beautiful head of hair. I always envisioned a little baby with dark hair and brown eyes but was always prepared for the blond hair, blue eye babies that I was used to. It’s such a fun change :) I’m not sure what color your eyes will be yet, but they are not blue and heading in the direction of the brown. You look so much like your daddy!

I look forward to learning more about you and seeing your grow and develop. I have tried to cherish each moment with every child and I hope to do so just as much with you. You will be our last, so I am soaking up every moment!!

Love you so much already and we have been blessed four times!!

Grant

My little two year old!! Oh and you are fully enjoy being two ;) You are the sweetest little boy one moment and such a stinker the next. From the moment you could crawl, we have not been able to distract you from what you want, when you want it. I keep reminding myself that as the third child that personality trait will really pay off. Your determination, independence and tenacity are all great attributes and I look forward to appreciating them some day.

Your speech and language have really began to develop and that has been such a blessing. Being able to understand each other more and more has helped with the frustration levels on both our parts. It’s only going to get easier!

You are such a friendly little man! You want to go and play anywhere and everywhere just like Carter and Kennedy. I sometimes forget you are only two because you keep up so well with them. Anytime someone comes over or we go over to some ones house you are right in the mix playing will all the kids.

One of your most favorite things in the whole world is the motorcycle! I think if your daddy was willing to ride it all day long with you, you would be SO happy! Right after Madison was born and he was home taking care of everyone, he even brought it inside for you to be able to sit on. There was still ice and snow outside, so that was the next best thing. Now that spring is arriving, you are asking to ride it every chance you get! Your daddy is in heaven!

You are such an outdoor boy. You LOVE being outside and it sure is a challenge to bring you back in when necessary. I love it and truly appreciate our house because I can comfortably watch you from inside if I need to be with Madison. I can’t wait for summer and all our fun outdoors.

I love you so much and you too are such a blessing!

Kennedy

We can call you Miss Personality. You began Preschool at Ada Vista this year and you have been doing wonderfully! Your passion for life and people is contagious. I don’t believe there is a person that you can’t befriend nor one that doesn’t want to be your friend! You are energetic and truly love life! I guess there is one person you have trouble getting along with all the time and that is your little brother Grant ;) It’s funny because you two can push each others buttons. You and he’s relationship has gotten a lot better this year with you spending your mornings together, but there are days....oh there are days... you guys have trouble. With that being said, even in those moments I can still see how much love there is between you too.

We had you in gymnastics this year. You loved it and did wonderfully! After Madison was born we’ve taken a bit of a break from it, but since we could keep you from climbing around, over and under everything in the house....you will be starting again really soon!

At any given moment in the day you are some different kind of animal. It might be a dog, cat, horse, mouse, mountain lion, seal....you name it, you want to be it! Most the time it’s cute, but sometimes I just want my human Kennedy!!

You are such a blessing and we love you so much!

Carter

My big six year old!! Man I can’t believe you are six already!! You began 1st grade this year at Ada Vista and have been doing very well. I do believe you enjoy school, even though you wouldn’t admit to it. In first grade you don’t have as much time to “play” but you have made some friends and enjoy your time with them.

You have grown and matured in so many ways this year. You are so rational and can “argue” with very good points. Your dad and I often question our answers when you make such excellent points. You remain our calm, responsible first born. A lot of times we here our words come out of your mouth when you are talking to your sister and brother. You don’t do it in a mean or teasing way, it just you know the rules and help others to follow them. That certainly doesn’t mean you don’t push the rules if you want something. You are such a good boy and we can not believe how much you’ve grown.

You are just starting baseball again and we can not wait to watch you and see if you continue to enjoy it like your cousin Jonny! :)

Much to your dad’s delight, you have gotten back on to your motorcycle and have been riding around as much as you can. Too bad dad sold his, but in a few years you guys will be able to go out on the trails together again!

We love you so much and are so blessed by you!

Oh Where to Start!

So....I’ve been stalking blogs for years now and decided it was my turn to write one. I haven’t decided if I will tell anyone about it yet, but I wanted a spot to write down events in our lives so I and our kids could look back. I went back to Carter and Kennedy’s baby book to look at the “letters” I had written to them and the last time I wrote one was when Kennedy was 10 months old. Poor Grant has nothing written to him and now Madison is 6 weeks already. I think I’ll begin with each child where they are now and go forward. Here’s to my kids knowing I love them and taking the time to remember their childhood : )
